Sorry I missed your comment on lumixblog. to wit:
In an attempt to replicate your situation. I set my LX3 to STD B/W film mode and High JPEG, then imported into LR 2.
The files were neutral on my Spyder calibrated MBP display. In LR 2 > Develop > Basic, Grayscale is neutral while Color is distinctly yellow. Color you be in Color? Another possibility is that your monitor is calibrated warm.
Note: B/W film mode in RAW quality are imported into LR 2 as RGB color files.
I believe a person should use their camera as they want, however I fail to see merit in trading a 3M JPEG for a 9M RAW. If it suits you it's fine by me : ]
